About Soniya Kaur
Soniya Kaur lives with her parents, her sister Navjot and her brother Gurpreet Singh in a small brick and mud house in a remote village located on plains of Northern India. The climate in this village is hot and humid. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have a water well close to their house so they do not have to carry their water too far.
Soniya helps her parents with household chores. Her father is a low-wage laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Soniya wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chapatti, and vegetarian dishes. Please pray for Soniya; she comes from a Sikh family with no believers. Soniya needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
