About Sonam Thakur
Sonam lives with her parents, her sister Sakshi, and her brother Sonoo in a small mud-hut in a remote village in Central India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains where it rains frequently but also experiences seasons of drought usually during the hot summer months. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The closest water well is about one kilometer from their home which makes gathering water for all their daily needs very laborious.
Sonam helps with fetching water and cooking meals. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Sonam wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho, soccer, and badminton. Her favorite foods are dal, rice, and chapatti.
Although they are still Hindu, they attend Bible study and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Sonam and her family. Sonam needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sonam!
