Sonam Jatav lives with her parents, one brother and two sisters in a brick and concrete house in a town in Central India. The climate in this town is hot. This area also experiences drought seasons. The town is located in the jungle and in a mountainous area. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 100 meters from their home.
Sonam helps with gardening, household chores, and babysitting siblings. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Sonam wants to become a doctor one day. She enjoys reading along with playing badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetarian, chicken and chapatti.
Sonam comes from a Christian family. They read the Bible daily. Sonam needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.
