About Silviya Martin
Silviya Martin lives with her parents and four sisters in a brick and mud house in a town in Central India. The climate in this town is hot, dry and humid. This area also experiences drought seasons. The town is located near a river, in the jungle and in a mountainous area. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 400 meters from their home.
Silviya helps with cooking meals, household chores and babysitting her siblings. Her father is a preacher while her mother is a homemaker. Silviya wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys singing and reading along with playing badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken and mutton.
Silviya comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible and pray together daily. Silviya needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.
