About Silvia Martin

NOTE: Silvia Martin has failed 12 grade and chose not to continue her studies any longer, she left the program in 7/2019.

Silvia comes from a first generation Christian family. Her father took some theological certification courses and now works full time for the Lord with the village people around the town he lives in. Her mother is a housewife. Silvia has three sisters. The family lives in a small two-room house.

Because her father travels to different villages and sometimes spends the night there, it is not safe for Silvia and her sisters to be at home without their father. The persecution of Christians in India by Hindu extremist groups is on a rise, especially for preachers' families. For these reasons, Silvia's father contacted and requested help from Mercy Home.

Silvia was so happy to receive the opportunity to live in the safe and godly environment of the Mercy Home! Silvia is in the ninth grade now. She is a good student and wants to become a doctor. Silvia loves to play badminton and likes to eat chicken, dal (split pea soup) and rice. Please pray for Silvia and the safety of her family.

Thank you for helping to provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Silvia!
