About Sidhant Raj
Sidhant lives with his parents, one brother, and two sisters in a small brick and mud house in a remote village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and humid with heavy periods of monsoons in the summertime. The village is located near a river. The family uses wood and cow-pies as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is about 50 meters from their home.
Sidhant helps with fetching water and doing other household chores, such as collecting firewood and making cow pies to dry in the sun for his mom to use as fuel to cook. His father is a laborer which means each day he goes and looks for manual jobs as a way to earn an income for his family. His mother is a homemaker. Sidhant wants to become a teacher one day. He enjoys dancing and reading. He also enjoys playing carom (an Indian game) and cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, chicken, and chapatti (an Indian flatbread).
Sidhant comes from a Christian family. They pray together daily. Sidhant needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sidhant!
