About Shweta Dass

Shweta Dass lives with her parents and one sister in a brick and mud house in a town in Central India. The town is located in a plains where the climate is hot and humid. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 100 meters from their home.
Shweta helps with fetching water. Her father is a construction worker and her mother is a homemaker. Shweta wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys dancing, singing, and reading. She also enjoys playing kho-kho (an Indian game), carom, and badminton. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti.
Shweta comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, and pray together daily. Shweta needs your help and support to provide for school fees, a uniform, books, a school bag, and other needs.
