About Shushil Kumar Katara
Shushil lives with his parents, four brothers, and one sister in a small mud hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals as they cannot afford propane and don’t have access to electricity. The well the family uses is about two kilometers from their home.
Shushil comes from a Christian family; they faithfully attend church each Sunday. His father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. His mother is a homemaker and Shushil helps with fetching water and household chores. Shushil wants to become a teacher one day. He loves to read and enjoys dancing along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are chicken, chapatti, and mutton. Shushil needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Shushil!
