About Shivanjali Verma

Shivanjali comes from a small town in Central India. Her father is a salesman who gets a commission-based salary, therefore, often family is struggling. Shivanjali has two brothers. The family is first generation Christian who have been rejected by their Hindu relatives. Shivanjali’s parents were afraid that there would be retaliation against their daughter from Hindu extremists because of their faith in God (which often happens in India), and have asked to take her to the Mercy Home for her protection.
Shivanjali is very excited to be admitted to the Mercy Home! Here she can freely worship the Lord Jesus Christ and grow in Him. Shivanjali enjoys studying and wants to become a doctor one day. She likes to play kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite food is chicken.
