About Shivam Yadav
Shivam Yadav lives with his parents, grandmother, one brother, and one sister in a tiny brick and mud house in a village located in the jungles of Central India. The climate in this village is hot and experiences drought seasons. The family uses wood and "cow pies" as fuel to cook their meals on. The water well the family uses is not too far from their home. They use large jugs and carry water from the well back to their home, usually on their heads. This is the only source of water for all of their cooking, cleaning, and bathing needs.
Shivam helps with fetching water for his family. His father is a farmer while his mother is a homemaker. Shivam wants to become a police officer one day. He enjoys reading along with playing cricket with his friends. His favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Although they are still Hindu, they are attending church each Sunday and praying together as a family daily. Please pray for Shivam and his family as they are exploring Christianity. Shivam needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs such as school lunches and shoes.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Shivam!
