About Shilpi Khairwar
Shilpi Khairwar lives with her parents, one brother, and two sisters in a mud house in a small village in Central India. The village is located in the jungle where the climate is hot. This area also experiences drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 200 meters from their home.
Shilpi helps with household chores. Her father is a laborer and her mother is a homemaker. Shilpi wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading and playing kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, and chapatti.
Although Shilpi and her family are still Hindu, they are attending church each Sunday and are exploring Christianity. Please pray for Shilpi and her family. Shilpi needs your help and support to provide for school fees, a uniform, books, a school bag, and other needs.
