About Sharlin Jacob
Sharlin Jacob lives with her parents and her brother, Vanaih Jacob, in a brick and concrete house on the plains of Central India. The climate in this town is very warm in the summer, with monsoon rains, and cooler in the winter months with a possible drought season. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals, and wood as needed. The water well the family uses is close to their home.
Sharlin enjoys helping with gardening, cooking meals, and household chores. Her father is a clerk while her mother works at the Mercy Home for girls. In her spare time, Sharlin enjoys dancing and singing along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game) and cricket. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, veggies, chicken, and mutton (goat).
Sharlin comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible and pray together daily. Sharlin needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniforms, books, backpack, and other needs such as shoes and school lunches.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sharlin!
