About Sharlie John
Sharlie came to Mercy Home from a town in Central India where she lived with her parents and sister, Genesis. Her parents work as teachers. Sadly, her father has become an abusive alcoholic which has created a hard and dangerous life for his wife, Sharlie, and her sister. Mother has become increasingly terrified since her husband started lying, stealing, and selling household items. She doesn’t feel comfortable leaving her growing girls at home in this situation with their father while she goes to work.
The Mercy Home is an answer to her prayers and a safe haven for her girls. Sharlie and Genesis are happy to be part of the Mercy Home family where they can live without fear and continue their studies, and grow in the Lord. Sharlie is an intelligent and high-spirited girl. She excels in her school classes, especially in her English classes. In the future, she wants to study to be a lawyer and then a judge one day. In her spare time, she likes talking and telling jokes with her new friends. She also enjoys crafts, drawing, dancing, and playing carom. Her favorite foods are chicken curry, mutton curry, fried rice, dhal (lentils), and roti.
