About Saresh Bhil
Saresh grew up in an isolated tribal village deep in the jungle with no access to electricity or running water. His parents are dedicated Christians, but their small village does not have a pastor to shepherd the congregation. Despite his illiteracy, Saresh's father often leads the church services by reciting verbally-learned stories from the Bible. His parents work as laborers, supplementing their income by growing some vegetables on the small plot of land surrounding their mud-plastered hut made from materials found in a jungle. Attending school regularly is challenging, as the children must walk several miles on dangerous jungle paths to reach the schoolhouse; this is made extremely difficult during long monsoon seasons.
Knowing that education is key to changing their children's future, Saresh's parents sought out the help of the Mercy Home. Saresh and four of his siblings, Savita, Samita, Sahish, and Ashish, have the opportunity to attend school and receive a quality education. Saresh is a conscientious student and works hard in reading and language learning. Empowered by his new situation, he dreams of becoming a lawyer. Most importantly, Saresh is growing in knowledge and relationship with his Lord, Jesus. In his spare time, Saresh enjoys playing cricket and reading books.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Saresh!
