About Saloni Joseph
Saloni comes from a very poor family. They live in a rented brick and mud-plastered house. Her father is a laborer and her mother is a homemaker. She has an older brother who is in the 6th grade.
She likes to play badminton and carom. Her favorite color is yellow. She loves to eat mutton but it is very expensive, so the family usually eat vegetables and roti (Indian bread) and mutton only on special occasions. At the Mercy Home, however, Saloni will finally have a chance to eat all kinds of good food.
Saloni wants to become a teacher and teach the children in her village. She likes to study. However, her parents can't afford to give her a good education. They want to send her to Mercy Home to give her a better opportunity to grow academically and spiritually. Please pray for Saloni; she loves her parents so much that she is sad to live so far away from them.
