About Sakshi Meena
Sakshi lives with her parents, her sister Minakshi, and two brothers, Arpan and Ashish. Their home is a small brick and concrete house located in a remote village in the mountains of Western India. This area is experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have the water well not too far from their house.
Sakshi helps with household chores. Her father is a shopkeeper while her mother is a homemaker. Sakshi wants to become a doctor one day. She loves to read and dance and enjoys playing kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite foods are rice, chicken, and chapatti.
Sakshi comes from a Christian family. They are attending church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, and pray together daily. Sakshi needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
