About Sakshi Ahirwal
Sakshi has two sisters. Her parents are first generation Christians. Her father is a preacher in the slum area of our state capital. Her mother works as a cleaner in a doctor's clinic. They have small salaries and the family lives in a mud hut with a thatched roof in the slums.
Sakshi's family lives in a difficult and danger situation. Doing the Lord's work in the capital is very dangerous since Hindu extremist groups are looking to harm Christians working in ministry and their family. Sakshi's parents are glad that their daughters are now live in safety of the Mercy Home where they have a dignified life, well taken care of, receiving a strong Christian teachings, and having hope for a better future.
Sakshi and her sister Suhani are very excited to be a part of the Mercy Home family! Here they can safely worship the Lord and grow in Him. Sakshi loves praise and worship services and having devotional and prayer time in the mornings and evenings. Sakshi wants to become a police officer. She likes to play soccer, dance, and eat chicken curry.
