About Sajal Raj

Sajal Raj lives with his parents and his sister in a brick and mud house in a town in Central India. The climate in this town is hot and experiences both monsoon and drought seasons. The town is located in the plains. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals, and sometimes wood when needed. The water well the family uses is 200 meters from their home and they must walk and carry the water home in jugs to wash clothes, cook, take baths, and get drinking water.

Sajal helps with family choirs when he can. His father is currently a typist but is training to be a village preacher and his mother is a homemaker. Sajal wants to become an engineer one day. He enjoys playing cricket with his friends. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, chapatti, and mutton (goat).

Sajal comes from a devoted Christian family. They pray together and read their Bible daily, and attend church every Sunday. Sajal needs your help and support to provide his school fees, uniforms, books, backpack, and other needs such as shoes and an umbrella.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Sajal!
