About Saheel Kumari Ahari

Saheel is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents and two sisters in a small mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals, and they don’t have access to electricity. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.

Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and even though she is very young, Saheel helps with gardening, cooking meals, and household chores. Saheel wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys reading, dancing, and singing along with playing soccer and cricket. She is a vegetarian and her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice. Please pray for Saheel; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Saheel needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Saheel!
