About Sachin Kumar Lodhi
Sachin lives with his parents, grandmother, and two sisters in a mud-and-brick hut. Their home is located in a small village on the plains of Northern India. During the summertime, the climate in Sachin's village is warm and humid due to the intense monsoon rains. To cook their food, Sachin's family burns wood and cow pies over an open fire. Sachin helps his parents with household chores by collecting water from the well near their home and by tending to the family's animals.
Sachin's father makes his living as a farmer. Despite working hard to support his family, his work provides only a meager income for the family of six. To provide for his school fees, uniform, books, and school bag, and other essentials, Sachin needs your help. He enjoys reading and studies hard in school. In the future, Sachin aspires to become a social worker, so he can help disadvantaged kids like himself. Singing, painting, and playing cricket are some of his favorite past times. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetarian dishes, and chapatti (Indian-style bread). Although they still practice their traditional Hindu religion, Sachin and his family are exploring Christianity. Please pray that they will continue to pursue the God of the Bible.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Sachin!
