About Riya Rao
Riya Rao lives with her parents and one brother in a brick and mud house in a town in Central India. The climate in this town is hot and humid. This area also experiences monsoon seasons. The town is located in a mountainous area. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 100 meters from their home.
Riya helps the family by fetching water. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Riya enjoys dancing and singing along with playing volleyball. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), chicken and chapatti.
Riya comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and read the Bible daily. Riya needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag and other needs.
