About Pushpanjali Lodhi
Pushpanjali lives with her parents, brother, and five sisters in a rural village in North India. Located on the open plains, the climate in their village is warm and highlighted by heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. Her family resides together in a small mud hut without electricity or running water. Due to the large size of their family, Pushpanjali's parents struggle to provide sufficient food for each of their growing children. As a result of sacrificially foregoing eating, so her children can have food, her mother has developed a chronic illness stemming from malnutrition. Though he works hard as a farmer, Pushpanjali's father makes only a meager income.
Despite these disadvantages, Pushpanjali dreams of finishing her education to serve her country as a government officer. To provide for her school fees, uniform, school books, and bag, she needs your help. She assists her parents by cooking meals and babysitting her younger siblings. In her spare time, Pushpanjali enjoys reading, painting, drawing, and playing badminton. Rice and dal (lentils) are some of her favorite foods. Although they still identify with their traditional Hindu religion, Pushpanjali and her family are interested in exploring Christianity. Please pray that they will continue to pursue the God of the Bible.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Pushpanjali!
