About Payal Ahari
Payal Ahari is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents and two sisters in a small mud hut. The family doesn't have access to electricity and they use wood as fuel to cook their meals, they cannot afford propane. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Her father is a farmer. Her mother is a homemaker, and Payal helps her with household chores, gardening, tending livestock, and babysitting siblings. Payal wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys reading, singing and dancing along with playing kho-kho. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, and chapatti. Payal comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Payal needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Payal!
