About Nikhil Lodhi
Nikhil comes from a small village located on the plains of Northern India. He lives with his parents, grandparents, aunt and uncle, brother, and sister in a small mud hut without electricity or running water. Their village is located in a warm climate, and the humidity created by the heavy monsoon rainfall intensifies the heat. Nihil's family burns wood and cow pies over an open fire to cook their food and collects water from the well 150 meters from their home. To help his parents, Nikhil babysits his younger siblings.
Though Nikhil's father works hard as a driver to support his family, this work provides only a meager income. To provide for his school fees, uniform, school books, bag, and other essentials, Nikhil needs your help. He enjoys reading and aspires to continue his education to become an engineer. In his spare time, Nikhil likes singing, painting, drawing, and playing with toys, as well as playing cricket. Some of his favorite foods are vegetarian dishes, chapatti (Indian-style bread), dal (lentils), chicken, and mutton. Although they still identify with their traditional Hindu religion, Nikhil and his family have begun exploring Christianity. Please pray that they will continue to pursue the God of the Bible.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity and a Future to Nikhil!
