About Netik Katara
Netik lives with his parents, his brother Yash, and a little sister in a small brick and mud house in a remote village in the mountains of Western India. This area experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have a water well not too far from their house.
His father is an unskilled low-wage laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. His mother is a homemaker and Netik helps with household chores and taking care of his younger siblings. Netik dreams of becoming an engineer one day. He loves to read and dance and enjoys playing cricket. He and his family live on a simple diet of dal, white rice, some vegetables, and chapati. On special occasions, they will kill a chicken and enjoy chicken curry.
Netik comes from a Christian family; they regularly attend church and Bible study and have a daily family time of Bible reading and prayer. Netik needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Netik!
