About Minakshi Meena
Minakshi lives with her parents, her sister Sakshi, and two brothers, Arpan and Ashish. Their home is a small brick and concrete house located in a remote village in the mountains of Western India. This area is experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have the water well not too far from their house.
Her father is a shopkeeper. Her mother is a homemaker and Minakshi helps her with household chores. Minakshi wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys dancing, singing and reading along with playing kho-kho, an Indian sport which is a bit like a team-based tag. Her favorite foods are rice, chicken, and chapatti.
Minakshi comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, and pray together daily.
