About Mahima Rajput

Mahima comes from a small village located on the plains of North India. She lives with her parents, grandparents, and brother Tanuj in a mud-and-brick house. During the summertime, Mahima's village experiences intense heat and heavy monsoon rainfall. Unlike many families in their impoverished village, Mahima's family do have electricity in their home, though it is limited. Mahima helps her mother by collecting water from the well near their home and by caring for her younger brother. Mahima's favorite foods are rice, vegetarian dishes, chapatti (Indian-style bread), and dal (lentils).

In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, singing, reading, painting, and drawing. She is especially talented in drawing and making arts and crafts. To supplement the income her father earns from farming, Mahima sells her artwork. However, her ambitions extend beyond art; in the future, Mahima would like to become an engineer. She needs your help to provide for her school fees, uniform, school books, bag, and other essentials. Although they still identify with their traditional Hindu religion, Mahima and her family have been exploring Christianity. Due to the lack of calendar use in her village, Mahima does not know the date of her birth. On her government ID, her birthday has been designated as January 1st.

Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Mahima!
