About Madhuri Lodhi
Madhuri is an only child who lives with her parents in a brick-and-mud house. Her home is in a small village in Northern India. Located on the open plains, Madhuri's village experiences intense heat in the summertime and heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. Madhuri and her parents live without electricity or running water. She helps her parents by collecting water from the well near their home and by cooking meals over an open fire. Both of Madhuri's parents earn their income by working as unskilled laborers. Due to the undeveloped economy and lack of access to education in their small village, Madhuri has little opportunity to rise above the poverty of her situation.
However, your help can provide for her school fees, books, school bag, uniform, and other essentials so she can attend school. Madhuri aspires to become a nurse in the future. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, reading, and playing board games. Rice, vegetarian dishes, dal, and chapatti (Indian-style bread) are some of her favorite foods. Although they still identify with their traditional Hindu religion, Madhuri and her parents are interested in exploring Christianity. Please pray that they will continue to pursue the God of the Bible.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Madhuri!
