About Madhu Mala Hirawat
Madhu Mala Hirawat is from a small village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. She lives with her parents, her sister Sara and a brother in a small mud hut. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals and they do not have access to electricity. The well the family uses is over half a mile from their home, which makes getting water time-consuming and difficult every day.
Her parents are laborers, which means they take unskilled jobs in construction or agriculture outside the home. Even though she is very young, Madhu helps with household chores. Madhu wants to become a nurse one day, and we want to help her achieve that dream! She enjoys singing and reading. Her favorite sports are soccer and badminton. She also loves playing kho-kho, an Indian team-based tag game. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti. Madhu comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Madhu needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school supplies, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Madhu!
