About Laxmi Vishvkarma

Laxmi lives with her parents, one brother and two sisters in a mud hut in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The village is located near a river in the jungle. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals.
Laxmi helps with household chores. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a homemaker. Laxmi wants to become an engineer one day. She enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game) and soccer. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), vegetables, and chicken.
Laxmi comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Laxmi needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
