About Kailash Bheel
Kailash comes from a very remote village. For generations, his family has resided in this primitive village located deep in the jungle. Kailash's family live without access to basic conveniences, including electricity, running water, roads, and education. Illiterate and unskilled, Kailash's parents work as agriculture laborers. They grow basic crops, using oxen to plow and harvest the fields. Due to the lack of economic and educational opportunities in their village, Kailash's parents are unable to better their situation. Despite their grim circumstances, they hope that their five children will have brighter futures.
Through the grace of God, Kailash and his brother Akhilesh were accepted to live at the Mercy Home. Now, the two brothers have the opportunity to attend a quality school where they are learning academic skills along with practical life skills. Inspired by his new situation and the caring teachers who pour into him, Kailash is interested in becoming a teacher himself in the future. Most importantly, he is learning about the love of God through weekly church services and daily devotionals at Mercy Home. In his spare time, Kailash enjoys playing cricket with his new friends. Some of his favorite foods are dal (lentil soup), chicken curry, rice, and roti (Indian-style bread).
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Kailash.
