Jyoti Raj has graduated from Nursing College in May of 2020!

Jyoti is from a first-generation Christian family and to avoid persecution moved to the Mercy Home when she was 16. Her father is a pastor and graduate of a Bible college. Her mother is a housewife. Their family adopted a baby boy when she was 16. At the Mercy Home, she rose as a leader, helping the dorm mothers with daily chores and watching the younger children. She has always had a servant's heart and dream to be a nurse to help the very poor of India.
Jyoti has been accepted into the RN program in Central India and will be the first female to attend college in her family. Jyoti recently wrote, “I am so grateful for my sponsor and the years she gave me at the Mercy Home and now college. It has been a blessed experience for me. I feel much stronger and better equipped to face the world academically and spiritually.”
