About Joban Singh
Joban Singh lives with his parents, one brother, and three sisters in a small brick and concrete house in a remote village located on a plain of Northern India. The climate in this village is hot and humid. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals.
Joban comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. His father is a laborer, while his mother is a homemaker. Joban helps with household chores. Joban wants to become a lawyer one day. He enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game). His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, and chapatti. Joban needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
