About Jaya Nanda
Jaya came to the Mercy Home from a small village where she lived with her parents and only brother. They live a very simple life. Her family is Christian and her father is a pastor in their tribal area. Because of their faith in Christ, Jaya’s family has been subjected to persecution from Hindu extremists. Jaya's parents longed for their daughter to live in a safe place where she can grow spiritually and academically so she can have a better future. However, they could not afford to send her to a good school.
The Mercy Home is God's answer to their prayers. Jaya is happy to be part of the Mercy Home family. She wants to become a doctor one day. She enjoys singing and dancing. In her spare time, she enjoys playing carom and jump rope with her new friends. Jaya is a sweet and loyal girl, with a desire to grow and to do her best. Her favorite foods are chicken and mutton; she enjoys eating lots of meat. She is a sweet girl and is very excited to live in the “big” town now.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Jaya!
