About Govind Mahendra
Govind lives with his parents and one sister in a mud hut in a small village in Central India. The village sits atop bluffs overlooking a river where the climate is hot and humid. This area also experiences drought seasons. His parents are farm laborers. They are very poor. They are dedicated first-generation Christians. Govind is growing in the knowledge of Christ.
Govind helps a lot around the house; besides the regular household chores, he helps fetching water from the village hand pump daily. In his free time, Govind likes playing a very traditional Indian game called Kobadi with his friends. His favorite food is egg curry and rice. Red is his favorite color. Govind wants to become a doctor one day. Govind needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, a uniform, books, a school bag, and other needs.
