About Ganga Parshottam

Ganga lives with her parents, two brothers and one sister in a mud hut in a small village in Central India. The village sits atop bluffs overlooking a river where the climate is hot and humid. This area also experiences drought seasons. Her parents are laborers. They are very poor.

Ganga helps a lot around the house; besides the regular household chores, she helps daily fetching water from the village hand pump. She also loves to garden, making sure her vegetables and flowers around the house are watered and well maintained. Ganga enjoys playing a traditional Indian board game called “carrom.” She also likes to play volleyball with her friends from the village. Rice and dal (lentils) are her favorite foods, which are staples throughout India. Ganga would like to be a lawyer when she grows up. Ganga needs your help and support to provide for school fees, a uniform, books, a school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for giving Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Ganga!
