About Durgesh Rai
Durgesh Rai lives with his parents and one brother in a brick and mud house in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The village is located near a river. Because they experience intermittent electricity, the family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is 300 meters from their home.
Durgesh helps with the gardening and household chores. His father is a laborer while his mother is a homemaker. Durgesh wants to become a teacher one day. His favorite foods are rice and vegetarian.
