About Durgesh Bardia
11/12/22 NOTE: Durgesh Bardia wanted to pursue some business with his friends and did not want to continue going to school where we had agreed to help him (he wants to move to a different city) and so we will not be continuing with him.
Durgesh comes from a large, very poor family. He has four brothers and two sisters. Both of his parents are uneducated. His mother cleans homes and his father has worked faithfully as a custodian for Mid India for the last 28 years. They are simple people of the lowest Caste in India, also referred to as “The Untouchables.” Durgesh is a brilliant student and when we saw his amazing grades we encouraged him to further his education.
Durgesh could not believe his own luck in getting this opportunity to go to college! No one in his family has ever gone to college!! Durgesh has enrolled in Engineering college but is in desperate need of a sponsor to fulfill his dream.
He will be attending College for an Electronics and Electrical Engineer degree. He will be living on campus, and on the basis of his results, he will get a 50% scholarship from the Government due to his low caste, which will bring his need down to $150 a month – which includes all tuition, room and board, uniforms, and school supplies.
Kindly pray for Durgesh. No one in his family is a Christian, but they are simple, hard-working people.
