About Chaya Deshmukh
Chaya lives with her mother and her sister Mahima in a brick and mud house in a town located in Central India by the lake and surrounded by jungles and mountains. The climate in this area is hot and humid with occasional drought seasons. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have the water well not too far from their house.
Chaya's father has abandoned them so the mother is doing her best to provide for the family on her own. Without education or any skills, she works as a laborer for a very low wage. Chaya helps her mother with household chores. Chaya wants to become a doctor one day. In her spare time, Chaya enjoys reading, drawing, and playing carom (an Indian board game). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, vegetarian, chicken, and chapatti.
Please pray for Chaya; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Chaya needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
