I talked to the center head. This girl's DOB in her Government ID is off by 2 years so she is 18 atm. She had failed her 10th grade exams twice and is now taking them as a private student since you are only allowed to repeat years a certain number of times in public school before you are aged out. If she is unable to clear them this year through the private third-party institution she will need to drop out of school.

Hi Shawn,

Can you check what is the status of AH1003-NB Chanchal Kol?
Her DOB is April 7, 2004, so she will be turning 20 years old.
In 2018 she was in 9th Grade. Then every year after she says she is in 10th Grade.
What grade is she really in, and when is she Graduating?

Thanks
Valentine Vaipan

Chanchal Kol lives with her parents and one sister in a mud hut in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and dry. This area also experiences monsoon and drought seasons. The village is located near a river. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals as they have intermittent electricity. The water well the family uses is 200 meters from their home.

Chanchal helps with household chores. Her father is a laborer while her mother is a laborer. Chanchal wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys dancing and singing along with playing kho-kho (an Indian game). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.

Please pray for Chanchal, she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Chanchal needs your help and support in providing for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for helping to provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Chanchal!
