About Atul Harijan
Atul Harijan lives with his parents and his four sisters, Dolli, Mahi, Priyanka, and Sweta, in a brick and concrete house in a small village in Central India. The climate in this village is hot and can experience drought seasons. The village is located in the jungle. The family uses propane as fuel to cook their meals when they can, but often due to the high cost of propane, they must use wood that they collect from the jungle. The water well the family uses is near their home.
Atul helps with fetching water from the nearby well and carrying it home in large jugs. His father and mother are both low wage unskilled laborers. Atul dreams of becoming a doctor one day and break this cycle of poverty. He loves to read. In his spare time, Atul enjoys playing cricket with his friends. His favorite foods are dal (lentils) and rice.
Please pray for Atul as he comes from a Hindu family with no Christian believers. Atul needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, school uniform, books, school bag, and other needs such as school lunches and shoes.
