About Aruna Verma
Aruna lives with her parents in a small brick and concrete house in a town located in Central India by the lake and surrounded by jungles and mountains. The climate in this area is hot and humid with occasional drought seasons. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals. They are blessed to have the water well not too far from their house.
Her father is an unskilled low-paid laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. Her mother is a homemaker and Aruna helps her with household chores and fetching water from the well. Aruna wants to become a nurse one day. She loves to read and sing and enjoys playing board games and kho-kho (an Indian sport). Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and mutton.
Please pray for Aruna; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Aruna needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
