Anju comes from a first-generation Indian Christian family. Moved by the great need of his fellow countrymen for the truth of the gospel, Anju’s father chose to become a pastor in a small village. However, their family faced much persecution and other problems while working in ministry and were forced to flee their church and community.
Concerned for their daughter’s safety, Anju’s parents sought shelter for their daughter in Mid India’s Mercy Home. For the past several years, Anju has thrived at the Mercy Home, growing in spiritual maturity and intellectual knowledge. Now, she longs to continue her education by attending nursing college. Anju prays that God will use her nursing education to open doors for sharing the gospel with the unreached. However, unless she receives a college sponsorship, Anju will be unable to attend college.
