About Anita Kharvad
Anita lives with her parents and one brother in a small mud-hut in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals. The water well the family uses is about a third of a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
Anita comes from a Christian family; they attend church each Sunday and pray together daily. Her father is an unskilled laborer, which means he gets arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields for a little pay. Her mother is a homemaker. Anita currently is in our preschool program. Anita wants to become a teacher one day. She enjoys playing with toys, dancing along with playing Sitolya, a traditional Indian game. Her favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti. Anita needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Anita!
