About Alka Banskar
Alka lives with her parents and two brothers, Jeewan and Naks, in a small brick and mud house in a town located in Central India by the lake and surrounded by jungles and mountains. The climate in this area is hot and humid with occasional drought seasons. The family uses wood and propane as fuel to cook their meals. While the water well is not too far from their house, gathering water for all their daily needs is very tedious and laborious.
Her father is an unskilled low paid laborer. Her mother is a homemaker and Alka helps her with fetching water from the well and other household chores. Alka wants to become a nurse one day. She enjoys reading along with playing kho-kho and badminton. Alka and her family live on a simple diet of dal, white rice, some vegetables, and chapati.
Please pray for Alka; she comes from a Hindu family with no believers. Alka needs your help and support to provide for her school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Alka!
