About Aditya Kumar Dhobi

Aditya lives with his parents and brother in a small mud hut. Their small village is located on a plain in Northern India. The climate is warm year-round, and the area experiences heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. Because his home has no electricity or running water, Aditya helps his mother by collecting water from the well near their home and cooking food over an open wood-burning fire. His father's work as a hospital janitor provides only a meager income for the family. Due to the lack of a calendar system in his village culture, Aditya does not know the exact date of his birthday. His government ID has his birthday as January 1st.
Aditya dreams of rising out of the poverty of his situation to become a doctor or teacher. He works hard to advance his reading and writing skills. Although Aditya's family still practices their Hindu religion, they are exploring Christianity. Please pray that Aditya and his family will continue to pursue the Lord of the Bible. In his spare time, Aditya enjoys playing soccer, cricket, and volleyball, as well as painting and drawing. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and eggs. Aditya needs your help and support to provide for school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
