About Abhishek Katara

Abhishek lives with his parents, his brother Ajay Bhagora, and sister Aradhana Bhagora in a small brick and concrete house in a remote village in Western India. This area is in a valley that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. The family uses wood as fuel to cook their meals as they cannot afford propane. They are blessed to have the water well only 300 feet from their home.

His father is an unskilled laborer, which means he takes arduous jobs at construction sites or in agricultural fields. His mother is a homemaker and Abhishek helps her with gardening, fetching water, and babysitting siblings. Abhishek aspires to become a teacher one day. He enjoys reading, singing, and dancing along with playing soccer, cricket, and kho-kho. His favorite foods are dal, rice, chicken, and chapatti. Abhishek comes from a devoted Christian family; they attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, and pray together daily. Abhishek needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.

Thank you for providing Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Abhishek!
