About Aakash Deepchand Ahirwal
Aakash came from a small village not too far from our Mission center. He has one sister. His parents are first-generation Christians. They are not literate and without skills, so they work as laborers and go to big cities like Delhi to work. While they are away, the children live with their grandparents. The closest high school is about 5 miles walking distance from their home. The family is very poor and trying their best to help their children. But it has come to the point where it is not safe for Aakash to make the journey to his school, so they have applied for him to live at The Mercy Home for Boys. God is good! Aakash was gladly welcomed into the Mercy Home. He is so excited and understands what a blessing this is to his life. He loves his new Mercy Home family and already made many friends.
Aakash wants to become a police officer one day. He loves to read and enjoys singing and dancing. Soccer and cricket are his favorite games. He also likes catching fish at a nearby river. Aakash loves his family and wants to do something to change their status and comfort, that is why he is taking his education so seriously. He wants to lead a good and godly life.
