About Vijay Prakash Sagiya
Vijay is from a small, remote village in Western India. This area is in a jungle in the mountains that experiences intense heat and drought seasons. He lives with his parents, grandparents, and one brother in a small mud hut. The family doesn't have access to electricity and they use wood as fuel to cook their meals, they cannot afford propane. The water well the family uses is over half a mile from their home which means gathering water each day is laborious and time-consuming.
His father is a village preacher, he often travels to the surrounding communities to encourage the believers and to evangelize. His mother is a seamstress. Vijay helps his parents with household chores, gardening, and tending livestock. Vijay wants to become a teacher one day. He loves to read and enjoys singing along with playing cricket. His favorite foods are dal (lentils), rice, chicken, and chapatti. Vijay comes from a Christian family. They attend church each Sunday, read the Bible daily, attend a Bible study, and pray together daily. Vijay needs your help and support to provide for his school fees, uniform, books, school bag, and other needs.
Thank you for helping provide Hope, Dignity, and a Future to Vijay!
